AKB48の新劇場公演「夢のポップスター」が8月7日、東京・秋葉原のAKB48劇場で初日を迎えた。
“歌って踊る”というアイドルの原点に改めて立ち返り、「歌唱力」を大きなテーマに掲げた同公演。立ち上げにあたってはAKB48全メンバーを対象とした歌唱力審査が行われ、初日には新井彩永、久保姫菜乃、倉野尾成美、坂川陽香、高橋彩音、山内瑞葵、山口結愛、山崎空の8人が出演した。
初日公演に先立っては、報道陣を招いての公開ゲネプロと取材会を実施。歌声を軸に、それぞれの個性を存分に生かしたパフォーマンスを披露するとともに、新公演にかける思い、そしてAKB48がこれから目指す未来について語った。
“歌って踊る”アイドルの原点へ 8人の歌声で幕を開けた「夢のポップスター」
公演の幕開けを飾ったのは、タイトルにも通じる「憧れのポップスター」。
新井彩永の歌い出しから一気に楽曲の世界へと引き込み、8人が弾ける笑顔と華やかな歌声を届ける。続く「偶然の十字路」「必殺テレポート」「Get you！」まで、テンポ感のある楽曲を立て続けに披露し、劇場の熱気を一気に高めた。
MCでは総監督の倉野尾成美が、「この公演は、夢に向かって歩み続ける私たちが、歌やダンスを通して、皆さんに想いを届ける公演です。最後まで一緒に楽しんでいただけたらうれしいです！」とファンに呼びかけた。
今回のセットリストは、AKB48が20年の歴史の中で生み出してきた楽曲から、“歌唱力”というテーマにふさわしい楽曲をセレクト。普段の劇場公演やライブでは披露する機会が限られていた楽曲も多く、AKB48の楽曲の幅広さを改めて感じさせる構成となっている。
⼭⼝結愛（18 期⽣）
山内瑞葵も「AKB48にはたくさんの曲がある中で、なかなか披露できていなかった“神曲たち”がこの公演に詰まっている」と紹介。「一つひとつの歌詞を皆さんにお届けして、皆さんの心を動かせるように頑張りたい」と力を込めた。

個性が際立つユニットパート 5人、3人、2人と多彩な歌声を披露
中盤では、8人それぞれの歌唱表現をじっくりと味わえるユニットパートへ。
新井、久保、倉野尾、坂川、山内による「涙の湘南」では、5人が情感豊かな歌声を響かせる。坂川は歌い出しを担当するにあたり、「力強く入れるように意識している」と明かし、曲や歌詞に合わせて歌い方を変えることを意識しているという。
高橋、山口、山崎は「最初の愛の物語」をキュートに歌唱。「思い出す度につらくなる」では新井と倉野尾が切なさを帯びたハーモニーを響かせ、「君はペガサス」では坂川、山内、山口、山崎が力強い歌声とクールな表情で魅了した。
さらに「君と僕の関係」では久保と高橋が魔法のステッキを手に、甘い歌声と可憐なパフォーマンスを披露。楽曲ごとに表情を変えながら、8人それぞれの歌唱力と表現力を際立たせた。
後半は「109（マルキュー）」「イチニノサン」「初恋は実らない」で一気にラストスパートへ。本編最後の「あなたがいてくれたから」では、歌詞に込められた思いを一人ひとりが丁寧に届け、劇場全体を温かな空気で包み込んだ。
アンコールでは「金の羽根を持つ人よ」「To be continued.」を全力でパフォーマンス。
そして最後に披露されたのが「やさしさの地図」だった。“1830mの夢”を再び AKB48が目指す大きなステージは「東京ドーム」
「やさしさの地図」は、AKB48のアルバム『1830m』収録曲。
AKB48劇場から東京ドームまでの距離にちなんだ“1830m”という言葉は、AKB48にとって大きな夢の象徴でもある。ステージ上では、曲前の新井によるセリフやLED演出にも東京ドームをイメージした仕掛けが施され、8人が歌声を重ねながら、グループの未来へ向けた思いを表現した。
倉野尾は取材会で、「公演最後の『やさしさの地図』という曲は『1830m』というアルバムから持ってきていて、後ろのスクリーンにも東京ドームの絵が出てくる」と明かした。
そして、AKB48が目指す大きなステージについて、「AKB48として目指す大きなステージはやっぱり東京ドーム。20周年を走り切った今のメンバーで、すぐにでも東京ドームに立ちたいです」と語った。
新井も「今日この劇場から始まる道が、いつか憧れのステージに続くと信じています。1830mの夢を、これからも私たちと一緒に追いかけてくださるとうれしいです！」と呼びかけた。
「ゲネプロの点数は1830点！」倉野尾成美が語った新公演への手応え
公演を終えた取材会では、初日メンバー8人が「夢のポップスター」にかける思いをそれぞれ語った。
倉野尾は今回の公演について、「歌唱力を生かしたパフォーマンスはもちろん、歌だけではなく、歌とパフォーマンスの両方で最高のポップスターを目指していこうという思いが詰まった公演」と説明。
ゲネプロの出来栄えを点数で聞かれると、「1830点！」と即答した。
「まだまだこの初日からさらに躍進していけるような公演にしたいので、最低ランクが初日ってなるぐらいどんどん磨いていって、歌とパフォーマンスでいろんなAKB48をお届けしていきます」
と、さらなる成長を誓った。
初日メンバーに選ばれた新井は、もともと歌うことが大好きだったといい、「歌で思いを届けられるこの公演に選んでいただけたことがすごくうれしい」と笑顔。
AKB48加入前に劇場公演を見てオーディションを受けることを決意したという新井は、「この劇場から新しく始まる夢への第一歩となる公演」だと位置づけ、「歌やパフォーマンスをもっと磨いて、夢の場所へ皆さんと一緒に行きたい」と意気込んだ。
また、「歌で皆さんを笑顔にすることはもちろん、思わず涙が出てしまうくらい思いを届けたい」と、歌に込める思いも語った。
山内はゲネプロを通して新たな課題も見つかったとしながら、「一つひとつの歌詞を大切にしながら、近い距離で皆さんの心を動かせるようなパフォーマンスを届けたい」とコメント。
山崎も「自分の持てる力をすべて出し切って、誰かの支えになれるような歌とパフォーマンスを届けたい」と力を込めた。
初めて初日メンバーに選ばれた久保は、「今日をスタートに、さらにブラッシュアップしていきたい」と話し、坂川も「ファンの皆さんと一緒に育てていく公演にしていけたら」と期待を寄せた。
8人が選んだ“憧れのポップスター”は？
AKB48の20年の歴史を彩ってきた楽曲が並ぶ今回の公演。取材会では、「自分にとっての“憧れのポップスター”は？」という質問も飛び出した。
高橋と山崎が名前を挙げたのは渡辺麻友。高橋は「渡辺麻友さんに憧れてAKB48に入りました。私にとってのポップスターは渡辺麻友さんです」と真っすぐな思いを語った。
坂川は指原莉乃について「パフォーマンスはもちろん、劇場公演でのMCも含めて劇場公演だと思っているので、すごく憧れています」とコメント。
新井は前田敦子、倉野尾は大島優子、山内は宮脇咲良、山口は柏木由紀と大島優子、久保は小嶋陽菜の名前を挙げ、それぞれが憧れの理由を熱く語った。
なかでも新井は、「憧れのポップスター」で前田敦子のポジションの歌い出しを担当。「憧れを持ちながらも、超えていけるくらい強い気持ちで挑みたい」と目を輝かせた。
公演を表す漢字一文字は「彩」8人それぞれの色を歌声に
今回の公演を漢字一文字で表すなら、という質問に対し、8人で相談した末に倉野尾が選んだのは「彩」。
「一人一人に個性や色がありますし、歌声で皆さんの心を彩れるような公演にしたいと思っています」と、その理由を説明した。
すると、高橋が「私の名前！『彩る音』だ！」と反応。倉野尾が「じゃあみんな、彩音ちゃんってことで（笑）」と返し、取材会は和やかな笑いに包まれた。
8人の歌声、個性、表現力が一つのステージで交差する「夢のポップスター」は、まさにそれぞれの色でAKB48を“彩る”公演と言えそうだ。
“歌”で誰かの背中を押す AKB48が届ける「寄り添う力」

今回の公演では、単に歌唱力を披露するだけではなく、歌詞に込められたメッセージをどう届けるかも重要なテーマとなっている。
山内は「金の羽根を持つ人よ」や「やさしさの地図」について、「自分たちにもすごく刺さる曲」だと語り、「皆さんの幸せを願いながら歌を届けるという思いを大切に、毎回の公演に立ちたい」と話した。
新井も「あなたがいてくれたから」を挙げ、「私自身もゲネプロで涙が出てしまったくらい思い入れのある楽曲」と告白。
「聴いてくださる皆さんにも、それぞれの日常や人生があると思います。その中で歌詞が心に染みて、思わず涙が出るような、そんな歌を届けられるよう頑張りたいです」
と、歌を通してファンの心に寄り添うことへの思いを明かした。
また、熊本県出身の倉野尾は、先日の歌番組で「365日の紙飛行機」の歌い出しを担当した際、「励みになったよ」という声が届いたことを紹介。
「自分の歌でも誰かの心に届いているんだと思うと本当に幸せです。AKB48の楽曲は歌詞の素晴らしさも大きな魅力です。その歌詞をしっかり伝えられるように、この公演を通して歌で思いを届けていきたい」
と語った。
長崎県出身の山口も、「365日の紙飛行機」を歌った経験に触れ、「歌で人の心を元気にできるように、これからも変わらず、楽しく歌い続けていきたい」と決意を語った。
2026年後半、AKB48は“世間のポップスター”へ
取材会では、2026年後半に向けたAKB48の目標についても質問が寄せられた。
倉野尾は、8月19日に発売される68枚目シングル「好きish」のミュージックビデオが、この日の朝に800万回再生を突破したことを報告。
「ファンの皆さんも熱くなってくださっていますし、メンバーの気持ちもすごく上がっています。ちょっといい波が来ているんじゃないかなと思っています」
と手応えを語った。
まずは年末に向けて、「歌番組や『NHK紅白歌合戦』に出演できるような、世間のポップスターと呼ばれる存在になりたい」と目標を掲げる。
そして、その先にある大きな夢が東京ドームだ。
「歌って踊って、皆さんを勇気づけられる存在になれるよう頑張りたい」
――そう語った倉野尾。
20周年を走り切ったAKB48が、21年目に新たに掲げた“歌唱力”というテーマ。そして、劇場から東京ドームへとつながる“1830mの夢”。
「夢のポップスター」は、これまでのAKB48の歴史を受け継ぎながら、これからのAKB48を形作っていく新たな一歩となりそうだ。
8人の歌声から始まったこの公演が、今後どのように進化していくのか。初日を“最低ライン”と位置づけたメンバーたちの挑戦は、ここから始まる。

AKB48 Launches New Theater Performance “Yume no Pop Star”! Eight Members Take the Stage with a Focus on Vocal Performance

AKB48 started a new theater performance called “Yume no Pop Star” on August 7 at the AKB48 Theater in Akihabara, Tokyo. The main theme of this new performance is singing ability. The members wanted to return to the basic idea of an idol who can both sing and dance. Eight members were selected for the first performance after a singing audition involving all AKB48 members. The eight members were Sanae Arai, Hinano Kubo, Narumi Kuranoo, Haruka Sakagawa, Ayane Takahashi, Mizuki Yamauchi, Yua Yamaguchi, and Sora Yamazaki.
The performance began with “Akogare no Pop Star,” followed by several energetic songs, including “Guzen no Juujirou,” “Hissatsu Teleport,” and “Get you!” These songs quickly created an exciting atmosphere in the theater. During the talk section, general captain Narumi Kuranoo explained that the performance was designed to show the members’ dreams and feelings through singing and dancing. She also asked the fans to enjoy the whole performance together.
The setlist includes many songs from AKB48’s 20-year history. The members selected songs that matched the theme of singing. Some of these songs are not often performed at regular theater shows or concerts. Therefore, the new performance gives fans a chance to hear different songs from AKB48’s large collection of music.

One important part of the performance is the unit section, where smaller groups of members sing together. Five members perform “Namida no Shonan,” while three members sing “Saisho no Ai no Monogatari.” There are also performances by two members and four-member groups. These smaller performances allow the audience to focus on each member’s voice and personality. The members change their singing style and facial expressions depending on each song. This shows not only their singing ability but also their ability to express different emotions.
The second half of the show includes songs such as “109,” “Ichinino San,” and “Hatsukoi wa Minoranai.” The main performance ends with “Anata ga Ite Kureta Kara.” In this song, the members carefully express the meaning of the lyrics. During the encore, they perform “Kin no Hane wo Motsu Hito yo” and “To be continued.” The final song is “Yasashisa no Chizu.”
“Yasashisa no Chizu” has special meaning for AKB48 because it is from the album “1830m.” The number 1830m represents the distance between the AKB48 Theater and the Tokyo Dome. For AKB48, this distance has become a symbol of a big dream. During the performance, the stage screen shows an image of the Tokyo Dome. The members sing together while expressing their hope for the future.
Narumi Kuranoo said that the big stage AKB48 wants to reach is still the Tokyo Dome. She said that she wants the current members, who have completed AKB48’s 20th anniversary year, to perform at the Tokyo Dome as soon as possible. Sanae Arai also said that she believes the road starting from the theater will eventually lead to the stage they dream about.

After the performance, the eight members talked about their feelings. Kuranoo described the show as a performance that combines singing and stage performance. When she was asked to give a score to the rehearsal, she immediately answered “1830 points.” She explained that the first day should be the lowest level of the performance and that the members want to improve it step by step.
The members also talked about the pop stars they admire. Ayane Takahashi and Sora Yamazaki named former AKB48 member Mayu Watanabe. Haruka Sakagawa said she admires Rino Sashihara, especially for her performance and talk skills during theater shows. Sanae Arai chose Atsuko Maeda, Narumi Kuranoo chose Yuko Oshima, Mizuki Yamauchi chose Sakura Miyawaki, and Yua Yamaguchi mentioned Yuki Kashiwagi and Yuko Oshima. Hinano Kubo chose Haruna Kojima. These choices show the strong connection between AKB48’s past and its current members.
The members chose the Japanese character “彩” (sai/irodoru) to represent the new performance. It means adding color or creating beauty. Kuranoo explained that every member has her own personality and color, and they want to use their different voices to bring color to the hearts of their fans. This idea represents the main concept of “Yume no Pop Star.”
Another important goal of the performance is to use songs to support and encourage people. Mizuki Yamauchi said that songs such as “Kin no Hane wo Motsu Hito yo” and “Yasashisa no Chizu” are meaningful to the members themselves. Sanae Arai also talked about “Anata ga Ite Kureta Kara,” saying that she became emotional while practicing the song. The members want their singing to reach people’s hearts and make them smile, feel encouraged, or even cry.
For the second half of 2026, AKB48 also has bigger goals. Kuranoo said that the music video for their 68th single, “Sukiish,” had reached 8 million views. She felt that the group was gaining positive momentum. The members hope to appear on more music programs and eventually on the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. Their goal is to become “pop stars” known by people across Japan.
In conclusion, “Yume no Pop Star” is an important new step for AKB48 after its 20th anniversary. The performance focuses strongly on singing, while also showing the individual personalities of the eight members. At the same time, it connects AKB48’s past, present, and future. The dream of reaching the Tokyo Dome, represented by “1830m,” gives the members a clear goal. The eight members see the first performance as only the beginning. They plan to continue improving their singing and performances and hope to give courage and happiness to their fans through music.
